Anna Duarte is one of Portugal’s most dynamic and versatile female vocalists. With Latin pop rhythms, she uses a mix of danceable tunes and romantic ballads on her latest album, “Love Me.”

Mike da Gaita

Despite being born in France, Mike da Gaita’s family is from Arcos de Valdevez. He started playing at five joined a folklore group and became a skilled concertina player, blending traditional Portuguese melodies with contemporary rhythms.
As Bombocas

As Bombocas

With over 25 years of career, As Bombocas are one of the most beloved duos in Portuguese popular music. Currently composed of Paula Santos and Rita Almeida, they achieved success with songs like “Deixa a Outra,” “É Tudo Treta,” and “O Ginga, Ginga.” Created by Emanuel, they have brought their joy to audiences in the USA, Canada, Europe, Cuba, and Australia. Their music livens up celebrations with rhythms like kuduro, kizomba, and romantic ballads. As Bombocas keep tradition alive with freshness, charm, and contagious energy, and are a guaranteed presence at the largest Portuguese popular festivals.

Daniel Sousa

Daniel Sousa was born in Lisbon in 1991, but carries the roots of Minho in his heart. At the age of 11, he began playing the concertina and quickly stood out with traditional "canas verdes" songs. Over time, he also became a reference in improvisational singing and musical duels. He has released hits like “Gosto de Ti,” “Ser Emigrante,” and “À Moda Antiga,” collaborating with well-known artists such as Augusto Canário, Cristiana Sá, and Cláudia Martins. Daniel has performed in countries like the USA, Canada, France, and Switzerland, always spreading the joyful and authentic spirit of Minho. A true artist honoring traditional Portuguese music.
69 Graus

69 Graus

69 Graus is a trio of Portuguese musicians with vast experience and a passion for rock. Composed of Mário Nunes (guitar and vocals), Mauro Ramos (drums and vocals), and Ricardo Dikk (bass), the group delivers a vibrant and nostalgic show. Their repertoire covers the greatest classics of international rock from the '70s and '80s, featuring renditions of Dire Straits, Queen, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, the Beatles, and many more. Their technical skill, stage presence, and contagious energy make 69 Graus' performances an unforgettable experience for rock lovers. It’s impossible to stay still.
DJ Luis Oliveira

DJ Luis Oliveira

Luis Oliveira was born in Ponta Delgada, Azores, and faced challenges from a very young age. Raised amid hardships, he often had to sleep at friends’ and relatives’ houses for lack of a home. He started working as a boy in a bakery to help his family. Music has always been his passion — by age 14, he was already DJing small parties in the Azores with whatever equipment he could find. After serving in the military, he managed to buy his first professional gear. After immigrating to the United States, he lived in Massachusetts, balancing work and parties, before moving to New Jersey. His early years as a DJ were difficult, spending almost two years without performing. His path changed thanks to Ricardo Bruno and Bruno Costa, who opened doors and believed in his talent. Today, at 39, DJ Luis Oliveira is a staple at Portuguese parties, bringing energy, rhythm, and a life story that inspires everyone.

Rancho Folclórico Dança na Eira

The Rancho Folclórico Dança na Eira, from the Bernardino Coutinho Foundation, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the richness of Portuguese popular traditions through dance, music, and traditional costumes. With lively and authentic performances, the group brings the folklore of various Portuguese regions to the stage, celebrating cultural roots with joy and emotion. Made up of members from different generations, Dança na Eira proudly represents Portuguese heritage in the diaspora, keeping the spirit of traditional festivals and rural life alive. Their shows enchant audiences with traditional choreographies, ancient songs, and instruments that capture the true spirit of the Portuguese people. Whether at festivals, community events, or cultural celebrations, they always leave a mark of identity, unity, and respect for their origins.
Moda Nova

Moda Nova

Moda Nova is a band formed in Massachusetts by musicians with over 45 years of collective experience. The group is known for transforming classic songs into new experiences, blending Portuguese, Latin, and international sounds. With creative versions of marches, dance parties, and rock, Moda Nova presents a reinvented repertoire full of talent and originality. The band’s clear mission: is to play everything "in their style," with modern arrangements and unique interpretations that win over audiences of all ages, celebrating Luso-American culture with style and emotion.
Polly and Juliana Vitor

Polly and Juliana Vitor

The duo Polly & Juliana Vitor reunited in 2024 to celebrate friendship and Portuguese music in the USA. The two artists first met 21 years ago in Portugal during a music competition and have since maintained a strong bond with the world of music. After a decade captivating the Luso-American public, they return to the stage with a vibrant repertoire and a renewed spirit. With powerful voices and perfect harmony, Polly & Juliana promise to move audiences with songs that celebrate culture, longing, and the joy of being Portuguese. A highly anticipated and meaningful return.

Roberto Torres

Roberto Torres was born in Newark and moved back to Ecuador with his family.  He moved back to the US at 15 years old. Despite the challenges of moving back during high school, he excelled  and is ranked number 6 out of 538 students in his graduating class, with a 4.343 GPA.  Challenge is nothing new to Roberto, as he likes to challenge himself regularly.  Besides his academics, he is involved in many extracurricular activities.  He is the President of the Future Bilingual Leaders Club, where he helps seniors apply to universities, as well as bring the Latin community together.  He is also enrolled as a Dual Enrollment student with ECC and will be graduating with his Associate’s Degree.  He enjoys playing sports, such as tennis and soccer.  He is also a member of the National Honor Society.

She is ranked 8 in her senior class out of 538 students, and holds an exceptional 4.284 GPA. She is committed to helping her community through programs such as Las Mujeres de Hoy, Ayer, y Siempre, where she hands out free food to those in need.  She is also a member of the Spanish Honor Society, as well as the National Honor Society.  She is the Senior Class President and is honored to respresent her senior class and prepare them for the important parts of their senior year.  She was also chosen as a Mental Health Ambassador this school year.  She will be graduating with her Associate’s Degree through the ECC Dual Enrollment program and will continue her education at Kean university in the fall, majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology.

Scholarship Donation: This year, Portugal Day Festival is proud to announce the donation of two scholarships totaling $2,000. These scholarships will be invested in more cultural activities for the community, enriching educational opportunities and fostering appreciation for Portuguese heritage.
